About Joseph:

Born in Ft. Dix, New Jersey and later his family moved to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Joseph D. Love from an early age wanted to be an artist. His father would spend time with him after work teaching him drawing and impressing upon him to draw what you see not what you think you see. Joseph was so passionate that he would take his father’s Grey’s anatomy book and sketch pictures from them and his father would proudly display them at the dental clinic where he worked. His father, Joseph Sr. and his mother, Fannie would always tell him that he had a gift form God.

Over the past 30 years Joseph has served in the United States Air Force, got married and devoiced,raised three sons as a single parent, 27 of those years spent working and still working as a Real Estate Broker, also began collecting and restoring vintage Mercedes Benz cars. Joseph's love for Formula 1 racing has been going on for over 20 years he says “ I always attended races, Indy Car, Formula 1, where ever there was a race you could fine me there'.

Joseph having no formal art training other than art classes in junior high and high school, his work is refined, his attention to detail and composition in his work is far beyond his training.

Joseph and his mother had a very close relationship; she passed away on December 4, 2009 after a 17 year extended illness. He would have dreams of his mother and father every night that they were alive, but come morning he realized that it was just a dream. This went on for a little over a year and then on January 11, 2011, his mother came to him in a dream and told him to stop wasting his god given talent. So he went to Michael’s art store purchase cheap paints, brushes and canvas and proceeded to paint a portrait of his parents and painted more portraits of his heroes and Formula 1 racing. After a long hiatus over 30 years he has begun to pursue his first love art and the dreams ceased. He painted for hours, days and nights, and many times until sunrise. Joseph contacted a longtime friend and artist, Michael J. McBride to take a look at his work give between friends.a critique, and since then there had been a great collaboration about art and life

Joseph Love after only 16 months back in the art world had his debut solo art show opening at The University Club of Nashville, located on the campus of Vanderbilt University. The Show titled ' Das Rennen' featured his oil paintings of Formula 1 race cars and drivers from past to present, vintage Mercedes Benz cars and other classic automobiles. This solo art exhibit ran from July 9th till September 31st. Since Joseph's debut show his artwork has been exhibited at numerous prestigious venues and gallery's. His artwork has been featured in a number on newspapers and also in the Nashville Arts Magazine. Joseph currently has a new art exhibit at Vanderbilt University that will be on exhibit at Gallery Stambaugh for a year.
