About John:

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, John gravitated to the arts at an early age. By trade he began as a sign-writer and at around the same time in the 1970's worked professionally as a musician. After moving to Florida several years later John's music career started to take off. The band 'Sawgrass,' in which he sang and played bass guitar, signed with RCA Records and began recording at the legendary Criteria Studio's in Miami. There, he had the good fortune to work with and meet some of the world's most renowned musicians, arrangers, producers, and studio engineers.

Through the years, John continued performing music with various bands in South Florida. However he earned his income mainly through his trade as a sign-maker and graphic artist. In college, John received a journalism scholarship, majored in art and journalism, and went on to become a multiple collegian award winner in Op-Ed illustration and political cartooning. His work appeared regularly in The National Forum, Washington D.C., alongside many of his idols, like Paul Conrad, Jeff MacNelly, and Don Wright. John's editorial artwork soon became syndicated through Tribune Media's College Press Service. At the same time he free-lanced for other publications such as The Miami Herald and the Washington Post National Weekly Edition.

Today, John plays bass guitar and sings with a popular south florida band called, 'The Joe Friday Band.' His art career is focused on the Fine Arts, 3D Theming and Sculpting, Digital Art, and Graphic Design.
